K&P Consulting offers a wide variety of management consulting services. K&P Consulting’s staff is
comprised of individuals with a broad range of practical business experience. They are available to
assist in the management of small, medium and large businesses, from a one-day consultation to
long-range planning to major projects. K&P Consulting is a wholly owned subsidiary of Kohnen &
Patton LLP and many of the K&P Consulting staff are attorneys. However, there is no requirement

Staff
The management and staff of K&P Consulting LLC has more than 100 years of combined, practical, realworld business experience.
John P. Tafaro—President. Mr. Tafaro has been President, CEO and equity holder in more than a half-dozen businesses, including start-ups and acquisitions. Industries in which Mr. Tafaro has experience include: facility management, optical retailing, ophthalmic manufacturing and distribution, commercial cleaning, real estate management, computerized ticketing and retail floor covering. In addition to his current position as President of K&P Consulting, LLC, Mr. Tafaro is a licensed attorney and a partner in the Cincinnati law firm of Kohnen & Patton LLP. He is chairman of the Cincinnati Bar Association Sports & Entertainment Law Committee and an Adjunct Professor at Ohio University (Athens, OH) in the Sports Administration & Facility Management Graduate Program.
Terry E. Moore—Vice President—Information Technology. Mr. Moore has been a help desk technician, trainer, network manager and information systems manager. He has experience in all aspects of technology systems acquisition and installation, including system design, requests for proposals, proposal review, vendor selection, project management, supervision of contractors, quality assurance and user training. With more than 17 years of experience in dealing with information technology matters, he excels at translating the often arcane concepts of information technology into a dollars and cents business context. Mr. Moore is also a partner in the law firm of Kohnen & Patton LLP. He chairs the firm’s E-Commerce and Technology and Franchising and Distribution Practice Groups and practices law in the Business Law and Transactions, Banking and Finance, and Real Estate Practice Groups.
H. Drewry Gores—Senior Consultant. Before joining K&P Consulting as a Senior Consultant, Ms. Gores had a successful career as a small business owner. She was president of Drew’s Bookshop, Inc., the premier independent bookstore in the Cincinnati area for many years. Ms. Gores also served for approximately 20 years as a member of the Hyde Park Environmental Quality Urban Design (EQUD) Committee, where she gained valuable experience in the practical workings of the City of Cincinnati’s Zoning Department, Planning Commission, and the Department of Buildings and Inspections. Ms. Gores is also an attorney with Kohnen & Patton LLP. She practices law in the Business Law and Transactions Practice Group, focusing on small and start-up businesses, and in the Estate Planning and Administration Practice Group, assisting family business owners with succession planning.
James Bates—Information Technology Consultant. With more than 20 years in the computer technology industry, Mr. Bates has been a help desk technician, network engineer and information technology manager. He has years of experience installing and administrating operating systems such as Windows servers, Windows clients, Novell Netware, UNIX and Linux. Mr. Bates has installed and maintained various network application and messaging systems including Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes, Microsoft SQL Server, Hummingbird DM and Microsoft SMS. He also has extensive experience with network security including anti-virus/spyware, anti-spam, firewalls, gateway security appliances, VPN and wireless network security. As an IT Manager, he has developed the skills needed to manage projects that coordinate business needs with technology solutions, and to communicate successfully with employees at all levels of a business enterprise.
