Mrs. Blandford is a partner and member of Kohnen & Patton’s Litigation, Employment Law, Insurance Coverage and Construction Law Practice Groups. She practices in the areas of insurance law, employment law, personal injury, products liability, commercial litigation, construction litigation, employer intentional tort and general tort and contract litigation.

Aside from successfully pursuing claims and defenses of people and companies in federal and state court, Mrs. Blandford is experienced at analyzing insurance coverage issues involving CGL policies, homeowners policies, auto policies, umbrella policies, disability insurance, professional liability insurance and other insurance policies, through coverage opinions and declaratory judgment litigation. This insurance litigation includes experience defending bad faith claims and has resulted in several appellate decisions interpreting policy provisions. Mrs. Blandford has defended manufacturers of products such as escalators and elevators against product liability claims. She has defended discrimination claims at the OCRC, EEOC and trial and appellate court levels, as well as trade secret, unfair competition and other employment litigation. She also assists clients with collection work, Board of Revision hearings, and contract litigation. Mrs. Blandford attended the University of Cincinnati College of Law where she was a recipient of the Timothy Walker Founder’s Scholarship. Before law school, Mrs. Blandford graduated magna cum laude from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor’s Degree in political science and a journalism certificate. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.

Mrs. Blandford is a native Cincinnatian, married with four children. She has volunteered as a soccer coach and scout leader. Mrs. Blandford is a graduate of the Cincinnati Academy of Leadership for Lawyers, Class VI, and served on the CALL Fellows Committee. She has been named a Rising Star Super Lawyer by Law & Politics in conjunction with Cincinnati Magazine, and recognized as one of Ohio’s Super Lawyers by Law & Politics in conjunction with Cincinnati Magazine.
