Mr. Zummo is a partner and member of Kohnen & Patton’s Business Law and Transactions, Franchising and Distribution, Real Estate and Employment Law Practice
Groups. Mr. Zummo is also a registered title agent for Tower Land Title Agency, Inc. He joined the firm in 1981. His practice is devoted primarily to the areas of corporate law
and securities law.
Mr. Zummo has represented family-owned, private, and publicly-held businesses in a wide variety
of industries, including accounting, architectural and other professional service firms; restaurant and
other franchised systems; healthcare providers; and manufacturing and distribution companies. He
has worked extensively in the following areas:
- Selection, formation and organization of business entities, including preparation of
shareholder, partnership and operating agreements, buy-sell agreements, employment
agreements, and stock option, deferred compensation and other executive benefit plans;
- Business succession planning;
- Mergers and acquisitions;
- Franchising;
- Securities and finance, including initial and secondary public offerings, Exchange Act reporting, private securities offerings, going private transactions, and venture capital
financings; and
- Commercial real estate development, construction and leasing.
Mr. Zummo has been a featured speaker at seminars and programs sponsored by several
organizations and associations, including the Cincinnati Bar Association and the American Institute
of Architect’s Large Firm Roundtable.
In addition to his law practice, Mr. Zummo is a member of the Board of Trustees and Executive Committee of The Visiting Nurse Association of Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, a
non-profit agency that provides home health care in the Greater Cincinnati area. He is also a
member of the Board of Trustees of the Skyline Chili Neighborhood Foundation, a private
charitable foundation that supports neighborhood development projects. Mr. Zummo was a member
of Leadership Cincinnati Class XXII - 1999, and has been recognized as an Ohio Super Lawyer by
Law & Politics in conjunction with Cincinnati Magazine.
